Barrick Gold also lobbied both the House and the Senate about the Wall Street reform legislation as it applied to conflict minerals, transparency of extractive industries and mine safety.
The amount is lower when compared with the $340,000 that the company spent on lobbying in the year-ago quarter and the $261,000 spent in the first quarter.
From April through June, issues that Barrick Gold addressed was proposals dealing with mining law reform, taxation of mining companies and clean energy, according to a report with the House clerk's office.
The 1872 mining law, which Congress is seeking to revamp, provides mining preference over other uses on much of the nation's public land.
